As an AT Trainer, I’ve had the pleasure of teaching these strategies to my students and it’s always brilliant to see the impact they can have on a student’s life. We originally created Sonocent Audio Notetaker to provide accessible audio notes for people who found working with text notes difficult. The software can benefit lots of different study tasks alongside its primary purpose of being a fantastic note-taking aid. I devised the strategies based on my methodology of guiding students through a study skills path rather than just demonstrating the basics of a software package. My main focus was on showcasing all the fantastic study strategies that can be achieved by linking the different features. Turn your notes into a variety of formats to suit your learning. Organize and categorize note sets so you can easily return to them. Capture audio, text and slides in a single note-taking workspace. We're helping our customers get the most out of audio note taking. The software offers a wide choice of annotation features - sectioning, colouring, typing and pictures - as well as a visual display of the audio recording. The course was designed to up-skill disability professionals, such as assessors, disability advisers, study skills tutors and AT trainers. This involved designing the course content with templates, example files, lesson plans and colour keys. Sonocent Audio Notetaker is a note taking software designed to be used by anyone. Sonocent’s note-taking software supports recording on PC, Mac, phone, tablet or digital recorder through our products Audio Notetaker (PC/Mac) and Sonocent recorder (iPhone/iPad). When you start the app, enter your email address and the code you are sent and you will be ready to start recording your lectures.Sonocent contacted me to design the strategies for a new accredited training course to coincide with the release of Version 3 of Audio Notetaker. Beyond allowing you to capture and record audio notes, Sonocent offers additional features, such as: capturing audio, text and slides in a single note-taking. There are 2 alternatives to Sonocent Audio Notetaker for a variety of platforms, including iPad, iPhone, Mac, Android and Android Tablet. You just need to enter your University of Hull email address to acquire an access code from this portal. The app is available to download on either iOS or Android.

Once you have made a recording you can review and edit it any time you like or save it to box and then open it in Audio Notetaker, which is available on every open access PC on campus. The software allows the user to capture audio.

Chunks of speech are automatically recognised and you can add your own notes, tag different sections, or split different sections up, all during the recording. Sonocent Audio Notetaker is software for PC or Mac which offers a visual and interactive form of note taking. You can record on any smartphone or tablet. Once a recording is complete it can be saved on the mobile device and imported to Sonocent Audio Notetaker on PC or Mac for further review.
